WAPDA Jobs have been announced for the position of Director General (Medical Services) under the Decade of Dams initiative. Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) is looking for an experienced, dynamic, and self-motivated medical professional for this senior-level post on a contract basis.
This position involves overall management and supervision of medical, clinical, and administrative operations of WAPDA Hospitals and Dispensaries across Pakistan. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring effective healthcare services, medical governance, and compliance with relevant rules and standards.

Qualification and Experience
Candidates applying for this WAPDA Medical Job must have MBBS or equivalent qualification recognized by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council.
Applicants must have 25 years of service in public, private, or military hospitals or institutions. Out of this experience, 10 years must be in medical administration. Candidates having 6 years or more experience as MS or DMS in hospitals or medical institutions will be given preference.
Required Skills and Competencies
The candidate must be capable of leading nationwide medical services and setting long-term health policies. Strong command over hospital operations, clinical governance, and quality standards is required.
Applicants should have experience in budgeting, procurement, and effective allocation of medical resources. Knowledge of Pakistan Medical Commission, Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan, Public Procurement Regulatory Authority rules, and healthcare licensing requirements is essential.
The role also requires the ability to monitor medical setups, manage emergencies, respond to outbreaks, and support performance management and staff capacity building.
Contract Period and Pay Package
The appointment will be made on a contract basis for one year, including six months probation, which may be extended based on satisfactory performance.
For serving employees, the pay package will be the last pay drawn along with BPS-20 perks and privileges, as admissible under rules.
For retired employees, a lump sum monthly package of Rs. 525,000 will be offered, inclusive of all perks and privileges.
General Conditions
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. No TA or DA will be admissible. Serving government employees must apply through proper channel and submit NOC from the concerned department.
Educational degrees must be from HEC-recognized institutions and verified by the relevant authorities. Candidates dismissed or debarred from service on disciplinary grounds are not eligible to apply.

تعلیمی قابلیت اور تجربہ

ضروری مہارتیں

پاکستان میڈیکل کمیشن، ڈرگ ریگولیٹری اتھارٹی، پبلک پروکیورمنٹ قوانین اور ہیلتھ لائسنسنگ سے متعلق معلومات بھی لازمی ہیں۔
کنٹریکٹ اور تنخواہ
یہ تقرری ایک سال کے کنٹریکٹ پر ہوگی، جس میں چھ ماہ کی پروبیشن شامل ہے اور کارکردگی کی بنیاد پر توسیع ممکن ہے۔
سروس میں موجود ملازمین کو بی پی ایس 20 کے مطابق آخری تنخواہ اور مراعات دی جائیں گی۔
ریٹائرڈ ملازمین کے لیے ماہانہ 5,25,000 روپے کا پیکج مقرر کیا گیا ہے، جس میں تمام مراعات شامل ہیں۔
